The black bear population is growing and they’re becoming an increasingly common sight throughout Northern Virginia. We had our first sighting of one in our backyard recently and we’re right on the edge of “civilization” not far from Dulles Airport. Black bears are here to stay so we need to learn more about them and what to do and not to do when we encounter them.
